Time to get with it girl - move with the times. The world - my world - is not just about pen and ink, beautiful papers and pencils, beads and wire, paint and fibres, losing track of time engrossed in my work and making all the people I've done work for over the years happy - time to get with technology - time to get online with all of this stuff.
Not that I am averse to technology - my other life had me tagged as a biologist, lecturer, online teacher in sciences, health care, health and safety, environmental sciences, plant biology, microbiology and the like and I have all the fancy bits of paper that go hand in hand with that sort of career too. That is part of me and I love it - it'll never go away, but I've always been working towards this moment - that "jump out of a plane", "dive off a cliff" into the unknown kinda moment. I've been an artist all my life really - self taught, but an artist all the same. When I was little I dreamed of doing what I am doing now - maybe some things really are Mint To Be!
So I've done the "sensible" career and loved it, but I want more. We're only on the planet once. "Life is a game - play it often" they say! Well I'm up for a bit of that!:-)
That said, there's nothing more challenging than running your own business (mine has been running alongside the science stuff for a few years now) and nothing more hard work, insanely stressful, intensely rewarding, satisfying, more thrilling and more addictive - EVER.
So this blog is all about moving my business onwards and upwards, as my mum would say and getting it out to the Wide World... let's see where it takes me. I'll enjoy the journey - for sure. :-D

Welcome to my new blog................ inspired by Picasso's words,
"Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in which you hate what you do so you can have pleasure in your spare time. Look for a situation in which your work will give you as much happiness as your spare time."
And,
"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
Here I am! :-)
